The Immersion Project and The Immersion Video began with a simple question: Is it safe to swim or even be in the Mississippi River? Before entering into the water on Nicollet Island in Minneapolis, MN all participants signed a waiver that details the health risks involved in immersing in the source of our local drinking water. Even though we were in the river's water for only thirteen minutes or so we all suffered a variety of health issues from the art baptism. Thanks to my fellow immersers for their aware courage by being participants, photographers and their voice over work.
